Trent and Mara started the series off in Teasing Trent, and they have been a couple ever since. But the journey this book took them on will have you going through so many emotions.
You always hear about Mara's parents, but you get to meet them finally in this book, along with Trent's family. I can't say whether that spins the book in a positive or a negative for the reader but it truly added a lot of insight into why the two were the way they are.

I loved how deep the story got and was mad where I am sure Ms Malone knew she would get her readers. The "villians" of the book were just pure evil to me and destroyed so much while getting away with a smile on their face.

The story took a path that showed growth of the characters and it made me love them even more. And it is always great to see the Alexanders get together.

The book itself was well written with nuanced characters but this book made me hate trent. He was a selfish dick who had a double life, he never stopped lying to mara or treating her like a possession. It’s unbelievable mara would get back with him, actually made me dislike her.
The conclusion to The Alexanders, Book 5 with Trent and Mara still seems unfinished. Will the Real Trent Townsend please stand up. I am not sure whether Mara has met the real Trent yet. The story was riveting with a few twists and plot changes that were a little unexpected, but overall the story was well written. I love Mara's tenacity, and Matt's overwhelming need to protect his twin. A really raw story of love, and trusting ones heart to reveal what's actually the Truth!!! I Need More of the Alexanders and specficially Trent and Mara. Their story still has layers that need to be told.. Loved It!!!!! Say You Will Minx!!
This was a tough read for me; not because it was bad but because the emotions in this book were so real and even more raw. The fight Mara and Trent had to have in order to survive was unbelievable. They are truly an amazing couple; two people with more strength and will to fight than most.

The angst I felt in this book right from the prologue through to the last chapter was ridiculous. This book was nearly impossible to put down and when I had to put it down, I found myself playing out the possibilities what was yet to happen in my head.

I love these two; they have become my favorite couple in this series and I didn't think that was possible after Eli and Kay.
I started reading this series with Teasing Trent. I got it by mistake not realizing it was a series. I love the Alexanders Series. Mara and Trent have a rough road in this book. The lies and secrets come to the surface the question is can Mara and Trent survive? M. Malone writes stories with love and romance that is not graphic or explicit. She puts just enough suspense as to whether the characters will survive or not. She takes you on fun journeys. Not sure when the next to books will come out, but I can not wait. I am starting the spin-off series Blue Collar Billionaire Series.
Started reading because at the end of Beg Me, it billed it as being more Ethan and the description was misleading. It was well written and engaging, but if you're buying because you think Ethan plays a big part in the story or relationship between Mara and Trent, you'll be highly disappointed. He's maybe in a few select scenes and then gone before it starts. I wish I had read the Alexander series first, so I got some of the other relationships between characters. Read the series in its entirity and not just because you read the standalone.
Trent & Mara are living the dream...or are they??? Trent has become so secretive, business trips, habits askew. Mara hires Eli to see if there is reason for her to be concerned. The shock she receives will make her question their whole relationship. Trent has a whole other life he has hidden. When confronted he takes her with him to the city, hoping she will begin to understand. At first she tries to be accepting, then others with lies, innuendo, & vicious deceit literally blows their world apart..... Mara is devastated as is he. She makes arrangements to return home & slowly rebuilds her life, a hole & loneliness in her heart. She continues to take it one day at a time. Meanwhile Trent works to accept & understand why his past has continued to haunt him. Hopefully they find their way to one another again in a new way & build a new & stronger relationship.....
This was not my favorite Alexander book. To me, it started out weird and left a few holes. How does Trent lie all those years about his past and become someone so completely different without anyone knowing? If his father didn't have a heart attack would he have ever gone back? Once he is back, that's it? Carefree surf loving board shorts wearing Trent is gone? And Mara...in the beginning it looks like her boss is flirting with her. And then all of a sudden she quits to move to New York and he is never mentioned again, until he's needed that is, but again just a quick good deed and then he's not mentioned until the end. Their relationship was odd to me, but I wanted more of his story. It felt incomplete without a resolution for him. Mara has always been a hard worker, but moves to New York and weird her job and then does what all day? For all her talk of not wanting a rich man like her mom, she surely allowed Trent to keep her a "kept" woman. This book was so different then the first Trent and Mara story that I'm not sure I ended it looking Trent. The epilogue ended so quickly that we were not told what Trent well do now in New Haven. Will he start a business there? Live off his family money forever? This book was ok to me, but not magical like other Malone books I've read.
